Naqsha is built on open data and open-source software. We're grateful to these projects and communities, and we credit them as their licenses require.

Maps & places

• OpenStreetMap — map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL). Places, POIs, and geographic data throughout Naqsha come from OSM.
• Nominatim — geocoding (turning place names into coordinates), from the OpenStreetMap project.
• Overpass API — category and place search over OSM data.
• OpenFreeMap — map tile rendering, serving OpenStreetMap data.
• MapLibre GL JS — the open-source map renderer (BSD-3-Clause).

Transport & routing

• MOTIS / Transitous — public-transit routing and travel-time estimates, from the community transitous.org project and its data sources.

Weather

• Open-Meteo — per-day weather forecasts, under the Open-Meteo license (CC BY 4.0).

Travel search

Live flight, lodging, and activity results are provided by their respective services (such as Travelpayouts, LiteAPI, and Viator) under their own terms; booking links hand off to those providers.

Your content

You keep ownership of the trips, notes, and documents you create in Naqsha. See our Terms of Service for the limited licence you grant us to operate the service, and our Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.
